Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sector: Fresh Food / FMCG The Opportunity A leading company in the fresh food industry is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Export Area Manager to lead and expand its footprint across European markets. This is a newly created strategic role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will play a central part in the company’s international growth ambitions. With a solid reputation and strong market leading position in Italy, the company is now focused on unlocking its export potential, starting with key European countries. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the export strategy for Europe in alignment with the company’s growth plan. Identify, approach, and manage distributors, importers, and key accounts across multiple European markets. Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and tailor commercial actions per country. Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure profitable, sustainable growth in each market. Represent the brand at international trade shows, events, and industry meetings. Coordinate internally with marketing, logistics, and production to ensure excellent service and supply reliability to export clients. Provide regular reporting to the CEO on results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations. Ideal Candidate Profile Proven track record as Export Manager or Area Manager Europe, preferably in the fresh food, chilled products, or FMCG sectors. Experience in building distribution networks and managing multi-country export operations. Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally. Self-starter mindset, able to work independently and thrive in a growing, dynamic environment. Fluent in English (mandatory); knowledge of French or German is a plus.
