As a Commis de Rang you will prepare the dining venues and equipment, food pass and service area of your assigned station in the restaurant, ensuring guests are consistently provided with courteous, engaging, prompt and efficient service. You will assist the Chef de Rang in the serving of food and attending guest needs and requests, providing an expert service experience, clearing and resetting tables according to standards and respecting the hygiene standards applied in the restaurant as per HACCP system. You will communicate guest orders to the Chef de Rang, serve food items and beverages, take care of any special requests, anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction and offer suggestions, and assist with restaurant inventory, breakdown, cleaning and set‐up of tables and workstations.What you will do: Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel's point‐of‐sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders against the guest's original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.Break down, clean and set‐up tables, buffets and food stations.Work harmoniously and professionally with co‐workers and supervisors.What you bring: High school education or equivalent experience.Minimum two years food service or related work. Food service experience in luxury hotels and/or stand‐alone fine dining restaurants or restaurant groups, preferably in the same position.
