Michael Page Reporting to the Plant Director, the HSE Manager will be responsible for: Health & Safety Compliance. He/She will be: - Acknowledge laws and understand the implications of new regulations that are applicable at Company level - Implement and facilitate the diffusion of Corporate standards, Policies, methodologies, by acting as promoter of H&S compliance. - Ensure regular process of risk analysis and assessment of the Company's workplaces and consistently update the plan for protection and countermeasures - Store relevant Health, Safety and Environmental documentation and prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary. - Lead the investigation process in the case of near misses; ensure that timely and accurate root-cause analysis is being carried out by the management. - Lead internal process to achieve and maintain ISO14001 and ISO 45001 certifications in agreement with Company plans. - Champion the H&S role leading by example and continuously support the Company management in the process to creating and maintaining Compliance-based safety Culture. Business Support. He/She will be: - Promote prevention and foster overall Safety-oriented mindset. - Ensure that the H&S officer is well visible presence in the plant by means of regular visits of workplaces, active listening to associates, proactive and constructive dialogue across the organization. - Take initiatives in the detection and removal of hazards, potential risk factors, non-conformances, cultural resistances, and recommend to Management actions for short, medium and long-term improvements and progresses. - Conduct periodic HSE Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed. - Take initiative and functional role in the development and delivery of HSE training in alignment with new regulations and business needs. - Identify and elaborate possible improvement points of H&S policies, Environmental procedures and all related working instructions. - Contribute to the Company's decision-making process with regards to machinery development and lay-outs, by providing guidance on applied safety principles and possible ergonomics-related matters. - Network with Company H&S community both Regionally and Globally; support data collection and elaboration on broader basis; promote the information sharing across the Companies. H&S and Environmental standard implementation. He/She will be: - Create and maintain the approach to Audit as shared valuable tool for HSE improvement. - Lead the Internal auditing process on H&S and provide direct assistance for action planning definition and implementation (First Party). Furthermore, support Auditing process in other Companies on request (Second Party). Our ideal candidate has: - Strong expertise in ergonomics and workplace safety principles, with proven ability to apply them in industrial environments. - In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance standards. - Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures effectively. - Hands-on approach with willingness to spend time on the shop floor and engage with production teams. - Excellent skills in investigation and root-cause analysis, driving continuous improvement. - Experience in developing and delivering HSE training programs tailored to operational needs. - Strong communication and influencing skills to promote a safety culture across all levels of the organization. English is mandatory. - Capacity to collaborate on machinery design and layout decisions, ensuring ergonomic and safety compliance.
