We are looking for a young and motivated Program Buyer Intern.
1. Scope
The Program Buyer Intern supports purchasing activities related to new vehicle programs, engineering changes, and cost optimization initiatives. Working under the guidance of experienced buyers, the intern contributes to supplier coordination, data tracking and program follow-up, gaining exposure to cross-functional collaboration and the automotive product development lifecycle.
2. Activity
• Support coordination activities between purchasing divisions and cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing and program management).
• Participate in program meetings as a purchasing representative and assist in documenting action points and supplier follow-ups.
• Assist in monitoring part development within scope, tracking supplier milestones, deadlines and basic cost information.
• Support the management of design changes and engineering releases by preparing commercial updates and maintaining supplier communication documents.
• Help track BOM (Bill of Material) cost evolution and support cost optimization initiatives, including VA/VE activities and benchmarking analysis.
• Assist in supplier readiness activities for prototype, pre-production and production phases by collecting data and reporting potential risks or issues.
• Support programs in mass production or with limited development scope under supervision; contribute to lifecycle change tracking.
• Actively support issue resolution and collaborate within cross-functional teams to ensure timely information flow.
3. Required knowledge
* Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Economics or a related field
* English language proficiency (C1)
* Italian fluency is considered a strong plus
