You will operate at the intersection of large language models, real‑time communications, voice and graphical user interfaces, and mixed reality, to deliver state‑of‑the‑art features for end customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager - Technical in Alexa Communications, you will be responsible for building calling, texting, emailing, and sharing experiences, where Alexa acts as an agent to get things done for customers. The role is cross‑functional, working closely with engineering, science, design, business intelligence, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon. A successful candidate will:
Own and define the vision, strategy, and product roadmap, manage trade‑offs and dependencies with key stakeholders, and execute on deliverables.
Work closely with the engineering, design, and science teams to develop an offering that will delight customers.
Drive product launches, including working with business development, Alexa partner teams, corporate communications, and other product managers.
Monitor business metrics, refine the roadmap, and write PRFAQs, BRDs, and naming documents.
A Day in the Life
You will meet with customers, analyze service and business metrics, write documentation, iterate on product decisions with the Science and Engineering team, and collaborate with partners in solution architecture, legal, and documentation. You will also interact with senior leadership, engineers, business and sales experts, marketing, advocates, data scientists, content writers, and more.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with feature delivery and trade‑offs of a product.
Experience owning and driving a roadmap strategy and definition.
Experience with end‑to‑end product delivery.
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy.
Strong leadership, prioritization, clear communication, and influence across cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements.
Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

Location and Compensation
Locations: Sunnyvale, CA; Seattle, WA
Annual Salary Ranges: Sunnyvale, CA – 206,900.00 – 279,900.00 USD; Seattle, WA – 179,900.00 – 243,400.00 USD. Total compensation will also include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), and Amazon offers comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
