Overview
The Process Gauges Engineer defines the guidelines and standardizes the technical specifications for gauges and CMM machines, supporting the Process Engineers and Plant quality teams. She / he is responsible for defining the measurement and control process for machining operations, defining gauges and CMM control systems in compliance with the design specifications and ensuring compliance with the control plan.
Responsibilities
* She / he actively participates in defining and collaborating on the design cycles, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Control Plan. She / he effectively supports the team during the co-design and equipment installation phases, ensuring adherence to project objectives and meeting the established project timeline.
* She / he proactively identifies and proposes alternative and innovative technological solutions through benchmarking analysis, particularly within the scope of measurement systems, CMM machines and capability analysis.
* She / he engages in proactive collaboration with machining process engineering, plant quality teams, and product engineering teams to develop the product and establish process development guidelines.
* She / he defines and standardizes the "best practices" in order to optimize the machining key processes.
* She / he defines the supply specifications and prepares technical comparison between suppliers.
Job Specification
* Bachelor Degree in mechanical or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Language skills: English (written and spoken).
* Experience (min 5 years) with CMM systems and gauges.
* Experience in Cad systems, QDAS capability analysis, Zeiss or Exagon part program analysis.
* Effective communication and project presentation capacity, time management ability and problem solving techniques knowledge.
* Ability to work in a team with accountability and leadership.
* Availability to travel (30% time).
