At Kuehne+Nagel we are looking for a Key Account Manager for the Road Logistics function with headquarters in Verona or Bologna who will take charge of the management of customers in the North-East area.

The Key Account Manager Road Logistics works within the Road Logistics Function. The Road Logistics in Kuehne+Nagel is a fundamental asset and provides Road shipping and Road forwarding solutions to achieve customer performance goals.

As Key Account Manager you will be the primary point of contact of the customers belonging to the assigned area, driving the implementation of the business development strategy in alignment with the National Road Logistics Sales Manager and you will monitor the service level to ensure customer excellence.

How you create impact

1. Contribute to the identification of new opportunitites to improve the footprint of business and solutions with customers from the assigned area, ensuring an attractive and sizeable pipeline, and high closing ratio and collaborate and partner with our the other business units to deliver attractive pricing and service.
2. Develop and execute Key Account strategy, defining strategic approach on value proposition and solution, as well as the internal and external positions of Kuehne+Nagel on RFQs and tenders and be in charge of customer relationship, being the primary point of contact across the customer engagement cycle to facilitate a partnership relationship with assigne customers, by understanding the organization and decision-making process specific needs.
3. Oversee the transition of new business into operations and control monthly performance, monitoring volume, profitability, pipeline, overdues, and ensuring immediate actions in case of deviations (. timeliness/accurate reporting).

What we would like you to bring

4. At least five years’ experience in Project Management, with hands-on experience
5. At least five years’ experience with sales and portfolio management and performance analysis
6. Operational knowledge of Finance and experience with stakeholder management
7. Proficiency with relevant systems/tools and Advanced level Excel applications
8. A Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field
9. Advanced in English
