As an Area Manager, you’ll ensure your site operates smoothly to meet customer demand. Your main focus will be to own and drive a safety culture while upholding quality and shift performance standards. You’ll oversee process improvements, drive implementation, and serve as a role model and mentor to new managers. A typical day is varied, from routine team management and daily operations to process improvement and operational contingency tasks. /p h3About the Team /h3 pCustomer Fulfilment (CF) started as a team of booksellers and has scaled to handle more than 1.5 million orders daily. Our centres are the heart of Amazon’s fast‑paced operations, often called the ‘First Mile’ where packages begin their journey. We manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries around the clock. /p pThe CF team welcomes a wide range of skills, from working with physical products to analysing data that supports business decisions. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liAdvanced proficiency in Italian (CEFR C1) spoken and written. /li liUniversity degree. /li liExperience in people management. /li liExperience communicating with a broad range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership. /li liExperience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions. /li liAdvanced proficiency in English (CEFR C1) spoken and written. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques. /li liExperience in another logistics environment. /li liExperience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Employer /h3 pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
