Experteer Overview As Sales Manager in Rome, you drive business development and sales to secure orders and margin in the Italian defence and cyber sectors. You will lead pre-sales activities, coordinate a multidisciplinary capture team, and work with partners to win contracts. Your role links the Defence KAM and Sales Director to translate market needs into Thales proposals and successful deals. You will engage with both public and private customers, shaping opportunities and delivering profitable growth. This position offers international exposure and a clear path to impact within Thales' defence portfolio.

Lead pre-sales activities, promoting Thales defence solutions and qualifying opportunities.
Head a multidisciplinary capture team, produce and negotiate offers through contract signature.

Ensure order intake targets are met and provide internal commercial reporting.
Support marketing with market needs, trends, and competitor insights.
Familiarise quickly with Thales portfolio and identify growth opportunities.
Manage selected opportunities and customer relations to increase order intake.
Forecast, analyse, and coordinate bids; participate in business winning reviews.
Support external marketing at trade shows, seminars, and conferences.
Responsabilità Minimum 3 years of experience in complex business with Italian MOD.
Familiarity with Cyber solutions and requirements; understanding of IT and cyber threats.
Knowledge of Italian MOD procurement processes and budget allocation.
Fluent verbal and written English; French is a plus.
Able to achieve objectives through teamwork.
Experience abroad is a plus.
