We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment, with a strong passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle challenges with professionalism.
Manage telephone reservations
Welcome customers upon arrival
Escort customers to their reserved tables
Attend to guests’ needs (e.g., check‑room service)
Assist with information requests
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in the same role in luxury hotels and/or fine dining restaurants
Excellent communication skills
Strong teamwork skills
Determination to achieve goals
Fluency in English at a professional level; additional language proficiency is preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to adapt to various situations
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations
Basic computer literacy skills

Warmly greet and seat guests, present menus, and offer recommendations on food and beverages
Engage with guests and deliver memorable and enchanting restaurant experiences
Serve food and drinks with precision, elegance, and adherence to established service standards
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens
Assist with restaurant preparation, table setups and service on the floor, mise‑en‑place and cleaning
Respect the Belmond standards, policies and procedures, while observing all safety and hygiene directions
Establish and maintain a polite and caring relationship with all guests while handling their requests and enquiries
Work closely with the Restaurant team to ensure the best service is always delivered
Qualifications
Legal right to work in Italy/EU
Proven experience as a Chef de Rang or similar role in a high‑end restaurant or luxury hotel setting
Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage service, including fine dining etiquette and standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a refined and engaging demeanor
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent memory and attention to detail
Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
Fluent in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a significant advantage
Impeccable personal presentation and grooming standards
Knowledge of wine and spirits is highly desirable
