We are seeking to recruit a Automation Commissioning Engineer Leader to oversee in-house pre-commissioning activities, ensuring project milestones and requirements are met. The role involves executing thorough functional tests, supporting software commissioning both in-house and on-site, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to optimize product and process quality.
Responsibilities
* Lead pre-commissioning tasks for shopfloor systems, ensuring readiness before delivery.
* Verify configuration and testing of critical parameters prior to system handover.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance before system power-on.
* Identify missing components and coordinate with manufacturing for resolution.
* Collaborate with engineering to report and implement design and process improvements.
* Prepare detailed documentation for pre-commissioning activities, including reports and checklists.
* Provide on-site support during software commissioning, with approximately 50% travel expected.
* Address technical issues during system setup to minimize project delays.
* Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support integration and testing of software with AGV teams during in-house phases.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in automation, specifically with AGV commissioning.
* Proficiency in software commissioning, PID motion control, and PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio5000).
* Deep understanding of control systems architecture and commissioning processes.
* Expertise in motion control, HMI/SCADA, and PLC logic development.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Fluent in Italian and English, with excellent communication and documentation abilities.
* Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and abroad.
* Leadership, adaptability, and commitment to quality and safety.
