Role Description
As Front Office Agent, you will be a key ambassador of San Clemente Palace Venice and a vital member of the Guest Services team. This position plays a critical role in shaping the guest experience, acting as the first and last point of personal contact for our guests.
You will ensure a seamless, highly personalized journey from arrival to departure, consistently reflecting the resort’s five-star standards and commitment to excellence.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Managing smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures in line with luxury standards
• Handling billing, payments (cash, credit cards, direct billing), and ensuring accuracy at all times
• Preparing key packets and assigning rooms according to guest preferences and room categories
• Warmly welcoming guests and providing a complete introduction to the resort’s facilities and services
• Handling incoming calls, messages, and guest correspondence with professionalism and discretion
• Acting as a primary point of contact for guest requests, inquiries, and concerns
• Maintaining accurate reservations, cancellations, and modifications within the PMS
• Verifying guest details, rates, and payment methods upon arrival
• Coordinating closely with Concierge, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure seamless service delivery
• Ensuring clear shift handovers and continuity of service
• Proactively anticipating guest needs and personalizing the guest experience
• Upholding confidentiality and maintaining impeccable front desk presentation at all times
What We’re Looking For
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Front Office or Guest Relations experience in a four or five-star luxury hotel
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a strong advantage
• Proficiency with hotel PMS systems (Opera, Fidelio or similar) and Microsoft Office
• Strong financial accuracy in handling cash, foreign currency, and credit card transactions
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and guest service excellence
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
• Based on San Clemente Island, Venice (daily boat transfers required)
