Job Summary

1. Analyze market trends in the Food & Beverage sector, assess their business impact, and define an effective market entry and expansion strategy
2. Identify and prioritize growth verticals such as food packaging and beverage processing.
3. Perform portfolio analysis and build a targeted roadmap to prioritize opportunities by revenue and margin potential
4. Manage and grow Key Accounts within the Food & Beverage sector by facilitating internal and external collaboration, ensuring full alignment with customer needs
5. Proactively identify and win new Key Accounts while ensuring their sustained development
6. Seek and leverage cross-segment synergies across Life+ and other business units
7. Enhance internal teams’ application knowledge in these markets by providing subject-matter guidance, customer insights, and training
8. Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute vertical-specific strategies and collaterals
9. Represent the company at events, exhibitions, and conferences relevant to Food & Beverage, providing subject-matter expertise

Responsibilities

10. Market Analysis

Analyze Food & Beverage applications to identify growth opportunities

Evaluate verticals for resilience, regulatory trends, and sustainability relevance

Monitor competitors and product gaps to support sales and portfolio strategy

Shape market segmentation and value propositions

11. Key & Strategic Account Management

Support Sales in managing key accounts

Provide insights on applications and markets to shape account strategies

Lead acquisition of new strategic customers and develop strong business cases

12. Product Portfolio Management

Advise Portfolio Leaders on trends, applications, and competitor positioning

Support new product development and business case creation

Align pricing and value strategies with Sales and Product teams

13. Sales Support

Deliver targeted training and technical support to enhance sales effectiveness

Address capability gaps with tools, coaching, and tailored materials

14. Marketing

Collaborate with Marketing on messaging, campaigns, and collaterals

Promote brand visibility through exhibitions, digital content, and vertical-specific outreach

15. Training & Communication

Create and update training for Food & Beverage topics

Act as a technical and market expert for internal stakeholders, customers, and external audiences ( speaking at conferences, webinars, customer events)

Critical Outputs & Achievement Required

Proven vertical strategies leading to measurable revenue and margin growth

Strengthened position in Food & Beverage through key account wins and market visibility

Established internal competence across teams through regular training and collaboration

Trusted subject-matter expert recognized by internal and external stakeholders

Education and Experience

16. University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical/commercial field
17. Minimum 5+ years of experience in market development, product management, or technical sales, preferably within industrial applications such as vacuum, compressors, or sustainable technologies
18. Proven track record in managing strategic accounts, identifying market opportunities, and influencing cross-functional teams
19. Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is required; knowledge of food packaging applications is a strong advantage
20. International business experience and proficiency in English required; additional languages are a plus

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 50% across EMEAI
