🚀 SITE DIRECTOR / PRODUCTION DIRECTOR - Bulk Color Cosmetics Manufacturing

An international cosmetics group is establishing a new industrial site in the Milan area (Italy), dedicated to bulk color cosmetics manufacturing (foundations, emulsions, color bases).
This is a greenfield project:
• Equipment delivery: June
• Installation: Summer
• Commissioning: September
• Ramp-up: Q4
The site will employ approximately 40–45 people and focus primarily on bulk color production (limited filling, except potential lipstick processes).
We are seeking a production-driven leader capable of securing the industrial start-up and structuring operations from the ground up.
🎯 Your Mission
You will:
✔ Lead the industrial start-up and commissioning
✔ Build and structure the production organization
✔ Drive Lean Manufacturing discipline
✔ Secure bulk color manufacturing performance
✔ Establish operational authority on site
Over time, the role may evolve toward broader site leadership.

🎨 Technical Expertise Required (Non-Negotiable)
This role requires strong hands-on experience in color cosmetics bulk manufacturing, including:
• Colormatch management
• Viscosity and texture control
• Dispersion processes
• Pigment incorporation
• Emulsion scale-up
• Process capability and variability (CPK understanding)
If you have not worked on bulk color formulations at industrial scale, this role is likely not the right fit.
👤 Profile
We are targeting an experienced Production Manager ready to step up .
You typically have:
• 8–15 years in cosmetic manufacturing
• Strong exposure to bulk color production
• Lean Manufacturing mindset
• Proven shopfloor leadership
• Ambition to move into broader site responsibility

💰 Compensation
