As a Tour Leader you will do just that. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliProvide amazing customer service and travel advice – guide hikes, market visits, craft workshops, or home‑cooked meals with local families. /liliEnsure the safety and well‑being of your travellers, handling difficult situations calmly and professionally. /liliHost, lead and execute tours to budget, following the itinerary and fulfilling administrative duties. /liliShare your passion for travel with our customers. /li /ulh3What you need to be considered /h3ulliExcellent communication skills in English and Italian. /liliA valid GAE Licence – Environmental Hiking Guide (Professional Qualification), covering guiding on foot, by bike, kayak and other non‑motorised activities. /liliStrong customer service experience with genuine rapport building. /liliSolid hiking and/or cycling experience, including practical knowledge of equipment and basic maintenance. /liliHigh fitness level, able to lead 10–15km hikes or 70–80km cycling days. /liliTravel and guiding experience in Italy and across Europe, with enthusiasm for sharing these regions. /liliBasic computer skills, including email, Word and Excel. /liliFull rights to work in Italy (we cannot assist with work rights). /li /ulh3What you need to know /h3ulliThis is a freelance agreement role with flexibility in when and how you work, but strong availability during peak seasons (May–June and September–October) is essential. /liliRecruitment of leaders is ongoing; training and onboarding scheduled for March 2026. /liliWith extended hours, regular hiking/cycling activities and constant engagement with travellers, you must be mentally and physically prepared for the demands of the role. /liliYou will need to be comfortable spending time away from home; some tours run for up to four weeks. /liliYou’ll be leading trips across Italy and can view example itineraries at. /li /ulpPlease note: Over the Christmas and New Year period we will pause active recruitment.
