Resina Partners is supporting an international plastics compounder in the search for a Sales Manager to accelerate growth in the Italian Wire & Cable market. The company: An established multinational compounder with multiple production sites across Europe and the US, currently investing to strengthen its commercial presence in the Italian Wire & Cable sector. The portfolio for W&C includes halogen-free compounds (HFFR), PVC, and other solutions dedicated to cable applications. The role: The mission is to develop and expand sales within the Italian Wire & Cable market by building strong relationships with cable manufacturers and driving the growth of the existing portfolio. The focus is primarily Italy, with potential exposure to international markets over time. The role requires the ability to deeply understand customer needs and translate them into technical and commercial solutions, either by positioning existing compounds or by working with R&D to support new product developments. You will: Drive the sales of HFFR and PVC compounds within the cable sector. Support the development of new compounds by understanding and translating customer needs. Communicate effectively with customers by speaking their technical language: this includes solid knowledge of cable types, compounds, standards, market trends, and standardization topics. Coordinate closely with local R&D teams as well as other commercial teams across the group. Requirements: Proven experience in the W&C market. Background at a cable manufacturer OR a compounder serving the W&C industry. Experience in sales OR technical roles with strong customer exposure and commercial mindset. Knowledge of cable standards, construction principles, fire testing, CPR, and certification bodies is a strong plus. Good level of English.
