PpRenesas is seeking a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer for our Power Product Group, Performance Computing Power Team in Catania (Italy). Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will have responsibility for the design, verification and validation of power management IC’s that supply the world’s largest and most advanced computing platforms. Your responsibilities encompass the full design cycle spanning from product definition to IC validation. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform transistor-level design of mixed-signal power management circuit blocks /li liEvaluate tradeoffs among different circuit topologies for performance and area /li liOversee the work of Layout Engineers /li liWrite design review documentation, prepare verification and validation plans /li liConduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure design quality and compliance with specifications /li liParticipate in test specification development and support Test Engineers /li liSupport Validation Engineer during lab debug and datasheet compliance testing /li liSupport Application Engineering and Product Engineering /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBSc with 5+ years, MSc with 3+ years, or PhD in Electrical Engineering /li liKnowledge of CMOS and bipolar transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, inductors /li liKnowledge of basic circuit blocks (voltage/current references, current mirrors, amplifiers, comparators, oscillators and clocking circuits, digital gates) /li liKnowledge of feedback control theory and systems /li liKnowledge of low-voltage (1V-5V) and high-voltage (12V-100V) BCD technologies /li liKnowledge of design and analysis technique for analog circuit blocks (process/voltage/temperature corners and Montecarlo statistical simulations) /li liFamiliarity with Cadence design tools /li liFamiliarity with switch-mode and linear regulator topologies /li liFamiliarity with electronic test equipmentGood knowledge of written and spoken English /li /ul h3Preferred Skills and Experience /h3 ul liKnowledge of precision current sensing techniques /li liKnowledge of regulated or unregulated charge pump circuits /li liKnowledge of high precision rail-to-rail amplifiers /li liKnowledge of integrated-FET switching regulators and PMICs /li liKnowledge of behavioral modeling techniques /li liKnowledge of automated test methodologies /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul libLaunch and advance your career /b in technical and business roles across four Product Groups and various corporate functions.
