This role involves managing a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety, training, and equipment availability by ensuring preventative maintenance and adherence to internal processes.Key job responsibilitiesLead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring safety, standards, and efficiency.Collaborate with the team and network to develop solutions leveraging technical expertise.Support safety and compliance programs in partnership with site safety and leadership teams.Implement network standards and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment availability.Organize training to ensure technical coverage for shifts.Manage local projects or support EU-level initiatives.Work on shifts as needed to stay connected with the team.Basic QualificationsSignificant practical engineering experience, including supervisory roles.Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.Experience with automated equipment, packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.Proficiency in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.Strong computer skills (MS Office, CAD).Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.Knowledge of all engineering and facilities equipment in Fulfillment Centers, including safety procedures.Experience with PLC control systems.Project management skills.Familiarity with CMMS programs.Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement processes.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
