Job Description
Our 5-star partner property, set in the peaceful landscape of Boschetto Vecchio (PG), is looking for a passionate and skilled Sommelier / Maître d’Hôtel to lead our restaurant service and manage our wine program. You will be the face of our fine dining experience, ensuring elegant, personalized, and seamless service for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate dining room service to ensure a refined and memorable guest experience.
* Recommend and serve wines in harmony with the chef’s seasonal menus.
* Manage the wine cellar: purchasing, inventory, wine list curation, and pairings.
* Lead, train, and motivate the dining room team to uphold service excellence.
* Ensure compliance with Relais & Châteaux standards and all hygiene regulations (HACCP).
* Welcome and build rapport with guests, creating a warm yet professional environment.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a similar role within luxury or fine-dining environments.
2. In-depth wine knowledge and a strong sense of hospitality and table service.
3. Impeccable presentation, communication skills, and attention to detail.
4. Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written.
5. A genuine passion for gastronomy, wine, and guest service.
