Business Development Manager Italy
Summary:
The Business Development Manager for Italy will be responsible to streamline and accelerate growth in Italy in the field of Solid organ transplantation (SOT) focusing on our MDR granted indications of lung transplantation (LuTX) and heart transplantation (HTX). They will establish region-wide contact with top Reference Centre customers to capture, explore and develop significant strategic growth opportunities in the target markets, especially growing actual customer accounts, through maximised usage in existing indications and prepare customers on future tender accounts. Selling clinical data, ensure cross organ usage and close collaboration with the Territory Managers (TM) is key to achieve this deliverable. A patient centric approach plays a major role on the route of success.
Identify, develop, moderate, and foster cross-national clinical Key Accounts and Networks i.e. new disease subgroups/areas to enlarge range of indication for ECP.
Responsibilities:
- Use so far existing data to convince current and new customers and to build a network of believers
- Identify, develop and manage new Key Opinion Leader (KOL) networks
- Introduction and development of new disease areas for future commercial success
- Develop and implement business case models
- Align new disease areas x-functional and international within EMEA group
- Organize, execute and attend relevant conferences, seminars and industry meetings to continually enhance market and industry knowledge
- Develop a close relationship with the Italian sales team (TM and Regional Business Manager) and the cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of the developed plan
- Partner with Research, Field Technical Support, Clinical and Scientific Development and other departments to meet company goals
- Define strategic development plans for accounts and regions to enhance the usage of the therapy

Skills:

- Strong communication skills, together with confidence to work with senior management level
- Proven ability to discuss medical and scientific data
- No fear of making new connections and building a new network with so far unknown stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of healthcare market in the region (Italy) – good existing network is helpful
- Excellent Italian and English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to think strategically and show strong operational capabilities at the same time.
- Ability to connect and successfully work without formal authority a diverse group of business stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a diverse and international work environment
- Driven by results, performance & operational excellence in the job
- Good interpersonal skills
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial or marketing functions in healthcare ideally in the field of transplantation
- Experience as a Pharma Rep or Medical Device Rep is essential
- Experience in the field of Immunology and/or Immunosuppression in the field of transplantation is a plus
- Successful results in meeting or exceeding targets, ideally within the healthcare sector
Education:
- Degree BSc. in life-science or related areas
