SMS group is looking for a Product Manager for Roll Grinding Workshops .
Main Responsibilities :
* Responsible for leading and executing comprehensive product management (Strategic, Technical, Operational) for Roll Grinding Workshops, aiming for global standardization and continuous improvement, acting as an entrepreneur within the company.
* Primary contact for new plant projects, automation, digitalization, and service related to integrated product management.
* Develop and standardize innovative product and business models, including communication and pricing strategies, to offer customers integrated solutions for performance enhancement—from design and procurement to setup, ramp-up, and long-term operational management.
* Proactively prepare, execute, and follow up on integrated product workshops involving stakeholders from operations, automation, digitalization, and new plant projects for standardization and improvement.
* Support sales and execution teams in ongoing projects and operations worldwide.
* Conduct market analyses and identify new business opportunities.
* Monitor performance indicators across all workshop locations globally, collaborating with relevant departments to adjust strategies as part of continuous improvement.
* Create business plans and strategic documents for management decision-making.
Qualifications :
* Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering (with focuses such as strategy, production planning), or economics/business administration with a strong technical/operational background in the metal industry.
* Extensive experience in planning and/or executing hot/cold rolling mills, especially with roll workshops.
* At least 5 years of experience with rolling processes, roll technology, and roll refurbishment, including roller bearings.
* Active experience in roll workshop operations; logistics knowledge is a plus.
* Professional leadership experience.
* Experience in developing and implementing business models.
* Strong analytical, strategic, and technical skills; excellent communication skills to present complex issues.
* Experience in Lean Management is a plus.

* High social competence and relationship management skills.
* Effective team player with motivational skills, capable of working across various levels and disciplines.
* Proven experience in training, coaching, and supporting teams or clients.

* Willingness to travel frequently.
