About the job Based at Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Sales Department, the Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s sales strategy. The Sales Manager reports to the Sales Director. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties : Meeting and entertaining influential clients and ensuring follow-up on all discussed details. Organizing and delivering familiarization site inspection trips of the hotel to major clients. Working closely with key contacts and seeking new business to meet financial targets set in the annual sales plan. Attending local and overseas trade shows, hotel, and tourist association meetings to identify market opportunities. Planning and executing sales trips to key market areas and identifying new potential markets. Assisting in the formulation and implementation of sales & marketing strategies to maximize room revenues in the Middle Eastern market. Collaborating with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Regional Sales Offices and third-party organizations to maximize sales opportunities. Promoting other Mandarin Oriental properties and distributing sales leads effectively. Attending weekly departmental sales meetings. Monitoring competitors' sales activities, building relationships, and reporting at sales meetings. As a Sales Manager, we expect from you : A passion for luxury experiences, excellent rapport-building skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities. Proficiency in computer applications. Ability to work well under stress, maintaining composure and objectivity. Excellent organizational skills and ability to operate in a dynamic environment. An established network of connections. Strong business negotiation and customer relationship management skills. Availability to travel abroad. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a 5-star hotel environment within Sales. High proficiency in Italian and English.
