PpThe Strategic Business Development Manager (EMEA) is a strategy- led, analytically driven role that partners closely with senior business leaders, Corporate Strategy, and regional functions to identify, shape, and enable significant growth opportunities across the EMEA region. /p pThe EMEA region comprises 3,000+ employees with dedicated strategy and commercial teams aligned to each Customer Operating Unit (COU). This role operates between global corporate strategy and the individual COU strategies, focusing on identifying and shaping new growth opportunities rather than owning direct PL or sales execution. All revenue generated is ultimately captured within existing COUs. /p pSuccess in this role is defined by the ability to identify and evaluate new “big bets” for UL Solutions in EMEA — both organic and inorganic — and to translate market insight into tangible growth initiatives in partnership with global functions and regional leaders. The impact of the role is measured through sustained revenue growth that significantly outperforms market and competitor trends. /p pThis role can be based in one of the following locations: Neu‑Isenburg (Germany), Carugate (Italy), Basingstoke (UK), or Ballerup (Denmark). /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liMaintaining and developing strategic country profiles (currently we have for 8 countries) /li liConduct EMEA wide competitor and market analysis to support global and regional strategy /li liIdentify and assess market trends and opportunities not currently being pursued /li liPerform macro level data and market analysis across EMEA to inform COU and global decision making /li liStrategic analysis of new technologies and the potential value add for UL Solutions /li liConduct new geographic market assessments across 140+ EMEA countries and territories /li liPartner with industry strategy experts across EMEA to shape future growth priorities /li liIdentify and evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities /li liProvide in region support to corporate strategy and corporate MA teams /li liPartner with global and strategic accounts to translate customer needs into scalable business opportunities /li liDevelop and coordinate executive level presentations, briefings, and recommendations /li liSupport industry leadership in the development of global account strategies and plans /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li8+ years of experience in strategy functions, MA or strategic business development /li liUniversity Degree (Equivalent to Master’s degree) in Business, Strategy, Economics, or a related discipline /li liStrong analytical capability with hands on experience in market, competitive, and strategic analysis /li liExperience in manufacturing, engineering, or complex service led environments /liliProven ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, global organisation /li liComfortable working with large data sets and leveraging AI / Copilot tools for insight generation /li liStrong English communication skills (written and verbal), with German language skills considered an advantage /li /ul h3Total Rewards /h3 pWe understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career.
