Ph3Short Term Power Trader /h3 pGlobal Business Unit Supply Energy Management, based in Rome (Viale Giorgio Ribotta 31). /p h3About the role /h3 pAs short term power trader, you will be part of Assets Optimization and Trading (AOT, part of the local Global Business Unit Energy management Italy – SEM Italy). Your role will contribute to creating value around SEM Italian assets Trading. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage Power Asset: spot market dispatching and optimization (Day Ahead; Intraday, Ancillaries markets), defining and executing the best strategies on the spot energy markets to maximize margin and minimize risks. /li liManage short‑term (intra‑month and month‑ahead) power CO2 and gas portfolio, maximizing results and minimizing risk, through all flexibility offered by the markets. /li liAssess market strategies of competitors through development of new analysis tools. /li liThrough analysis on power balancing markets based on probabilistic models, optimize the bidding and maximize margins. /li liDevelop analysis on availability and outages of power plants and transmission grid, implementing a methodology and a model to reproduce the behavior of market competitors and transmission operator. /li liManage CCC auctions to maximize margin and minimize risks. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering/Finance/Economics/Mathematics. /li liMinimum 5 years experience in Energy Management and/or in the energy space. /li liExcellent knowledge of Italian market design and fundamentals (Day Ahead; Intraday, Ancillaries markets, intrazonal constraints); knowledge of global energy markets is a plus. /li liExcellent experience in quantitative analysis and probabilistic modeling. /li liKnowledge of trading environment (and related risk metrics) as well as experience in hedging instruments/strategies is a strong plus. /li liAttitude to work in availability (24 hours/7 days). /li liAttitude to change, mobility flexibility. /li liEager to learn new things, curious and passionate about commodities and financial markets and new developments in the energy sphere. /li liProactive idea generation and continuous review improvement of processes. /li liFluent in English and Italian. /li liProficient knowledge of Python and Excel (possibly VBA). /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
