The company specializes in complex technical retrofit projects, newbuildings' outfitting projects, refit and refurbishment, and ship repair around the world. Today, the company staff consists of over 600 permanent highly skilled and experienced marine professionals. As the company is growing and expanding, we are recruiting a Business Development Manager who can join and lead our team. As a Business Development Manager, you would be responsible for the following: Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Promote the business of LTH Baas, identify leads, and potential new business to secure contracts with new clients primarily in the Italian cruise market, marine, commercial, offshore, and oil refining industries. Market Research and Sales Strategy: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends. Proposal Development and Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients to secure profitable contracts. Project Management: Support day-to-day marine technical, sales, and project management tasks of relevant projects. This includes supporting various work units (sales, design, technical, engineering, logistics) to fully develop and coordinate the projects. Client and Technical Interface: Interface with clients and technical/interior teams during project initiation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout. Project Oversight and Inspections: Be ready to travel for business trips as needed, including to the United States and other locations, to oversee project execution and conduct regular inspections onboard vessels. Proposal Evaluation: Prepare comparison/evaluation tools in Excel to assess proposals, quotations, and designs. Reporting: Generate memos on progress, meetings, and business development activities for management at least weekly. Use CRM systems and email for follow-ups. Initial Work and Travel: Begin with a 3-week assignment in Estonia to familiarize yourself with the team, followed by travel as needed. Compliance and Flexibility: Adhere to health and safety regulations and work additional hours when necessary to meet deadlines. Participation: Engage actively in team meetings and collaborative projects. Additional details: Non-competition clause during and for one year after the contract. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3-4 years' industry-related business development experience. Proven success in development strategies. Willingness to travel globally.
