Responsibilities
* Develop and execute sales plans using the agreed European Sales Methodology to achieve sales and profitability targets across the Italian territory.
* Prepare accurate weekly and monthly pipeline data in Salesforce for sales forecasts for confocal and widefield product lines.
* Plan and conduct regular visits with local sales agents to existing customers to monitor requirements, satisfaction, business trends, and competitor activity. Maintain close contact with key account stakeholders and serve as their main point of contact.
* Organise workshops at customer sites and represent Leica Microsystems at trade meetings to promote products.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 4 years of sales experience in the Life Science market.
* Strong communication skills and sound business acumen.
* Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
* Proven record of successfully selling high‑tech instruments.
* Fluency in Italian and English.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
* Must have a valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience
* Ability to drive business success through consistent and impressive sales growth.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to build sound relationships with key account customers.
* Knowledge of Italian purchase procedures and regulations.
