This role is designed to serve as a technical liaison between our customers, sales teams, and engineering groups. The Product Specialist will play a critical role in understanding customer needs, addressing technical inquiries, and representing UL’s technical capabilities in customer engagements. This is a strategic position that supports sales efforts through technical expertise and solution‑oriented thinking. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liAct as the primary technical contact for customer inquiries, providing clear and accurate information about UL’s Medium and High Voltage (MVHV) Cable products and services. /li liCollaborate closely with sales teams to support pre‑sales activities, including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution development. /li liGather and analyze customer feedback and requirements, translating them into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams. /li liWork with engineering and product development to ensure customer needs are considered in product design and enhancements. /li liRepresent UL’s technical strengths and capabilities in customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows. /li liDevelop and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and training materials to support internal and external stakeholders. /li liMonitor industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product strategy and positioning. /li liEnhance and advance a zero‑incident safety culture and behavior. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. /li liPerform other duties as directed. /li liWilling to travel over 50‑75% to customer’s facilities and job site, including global travels. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or technical certifications are a plus. /li li5–8 years of relevant experience in a technical customer‑facing role, such as product support, technical sales, or solutions engineering. /li liStrong understanding of product development processes and technical concepts. /li liVery good level of English language. /li liExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non‑technical audiences. /li liProven ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities. /li liAble to handle multiple assignments concurrently without direct supervision. /li liCustomer‑centric mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. /liliExperience in the testing, certification, or compliance industry is a plus.
