Description
Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Associate Signalling RAMS Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role is based in Naples, Italy.
Accountabilities
Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the safety management system for Safety, VV, and testing at Wayside Subsystem level (IXL and/or RBC).
Define cost evaluation, planning, and execution of RAMS activities across projects within budget and schedule.
Ensure project activities and documentation comply with company processes and guidelines for Safety, VV, and Testing.
Demonstrate compliance with customer requirements and standards, providing evidence to clients, certification bodies, and authorities.
Plan activities to meet Safety, VV, and testing targets, ensuring proper execution and satisfaction of requirements.
Achieve necessary approvals and certifications for projects.
Represent Hitachi Rail on RAMS matters with subcontractors, partners, customers, and authorities.
Perform Safety Analysis and produce Safety Deliverables (Safety Plans, Safety Cases, Hazard Log) for IXL and/or RBC subsystems.
Define safety activity plans and strategies for projects.
Coordinate with Project RAMS Manager and other WPLs.
Monitor RAMS task progress.
Implement VV Governance processes to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
Validate safety requirements.
Alert the team of residual risks affecting safety.
Provide final safety acceptance judgments.
Required Skills/Knowledge
At least 1 year of VV or RAMS experience.
Availability for short travels.
Proficiency in RAMS or VV processes per EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 standards.
Education/Qualifications
Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.
Languages
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
