Reporting to the General Manager, Aftermarket Asia, the Business Development Manager will lead the commercial strategy for the ASEAN region, strengthening customer partnerships and expanding Dayco’s market presence.

Based in Singapore, this role will focus on identifying new growth opportunities, optimising product positioning, and ensuring commercial performance while aligning with Dayco’s global standards.

You will lead a small Singapore-based team while working closely with Product & Marketing and Finance teams in China to drive strong business outcomes. The role also involves frequent travel across ASEAN and East Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales, Market Expansion & Business Growth

- Develop and execute the ASEAN sales and marketing strategy to strengthen market position and profitability.
- Identify high-value market opportunities and expand product adoption across the region.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and implement strategies to sustain growth.
- Optimise sales operations and adapt plans based on market trends, customer demand, and competitor activity.
- Represent Dayco at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity and return on investment.

Product Portfolio

- Partner with Product Management on product launches, promotions, and product change programs.
- Support market research and pricing analysis to inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and sourcing teams to ensure quality, cost-competitive supply.

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, coach, and develop the Singapore team to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support talent development and succession planning.

Customer Engagement

- Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with key customers.
- Ensure customer needs are understood and supported through internal collaboration.
- Oversee customer service standards and resolution of escalated issues.

Commercial & Financial Performance

- Oversee P&L; performance of the sales branch.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and trading terms to support strong account performance.
- Manage promotional investments to maximise return on investment.

Risk, Compliance & Safety

- Integrate risk management into commercial planning.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
- Champion Dayco’s brand, values, and service leadership across the industry.

What you’ll bring to the role:

We are looking for a commercially driven leader with strong experience in the automotive aftermarket, capable of building strategic partnerships and leading high-performing team, with

- A qualification in Business, Commerce or a related field, or significant commercial leadership experience in the automotive aftermarket sector.
- Proven experience in sales leadership, account management, or business development.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical capability.
- Experience with ERP systems and sales analytics tools.
