the position has a global scope, but preferred locations are closed to our Switchgear factories as: Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Norway, Germany.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for steel raw materials, parts, and mechanical assemblies, ensuring alignment with ABB's business objectives and procurement policies.
Conduct monthly macroeconomic research on raw materials and lead the process of proposing hedging levels for the ELDS division, coordinating with all Business Lines and communicating decisions to stakeholders.
Define, negotiate, and manage global and local supplier agreements, including pricing, terms, and contract renewals, ensuring compliance with ABB's contractual frameworks.
Drive cost control initiatives by managing procurement budgets, tracking savings, and implementing cost-out programs to meet financial targets.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability criteria, while optimizing the supplier base in line with total cost of ownership (TCO) principles.
Design and implement global procurement standards, tools, and processes for the category, ensuring sustainability requirements are embedded.
Ensure compliance with ABB's Code of Conduct, safety, integrity, and regulatory standards across all procurement activities and teams in scope.
Lead and develop a high-performing category team, fostering collaboration across divisions and business lines, and promoting continuous improvement in procurement performance and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
A university degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or financial analysis, preferably in a global industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in managing global sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
Strong understanding of raw material markets, including macroeconomic trends and hedging strategies.
Proficiency in procurement tools, data analysis, and digital dashboards; experience designing and implementing procurement standards and tools is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead cost-out initiatives, manage procurement budgets, and drive performance improvements.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business lines and global teams.
