Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Markem-Imaje’s solutions to customers in Italy. The role encompasses all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting and new business development to opportunity management.
What you will do
* Understand the business strategies of the accounts, especially regarding their serialization initiatives with an emphasis on the UniSecure solution.
* Serve as the primary point of contact within Target Accounts for positioning and selling Markem-Imaje’s Serialization Product Tracking solution.
* Develop and execute an annual business plan to guide and measure your progress and success.
* Create and deliver presentations, white papers, and communications.
* Conduct regular review sessions and organize roundtable discussions with target accounts.
* Build trust as an advisor to your target accounts and influence their serialization strategies.
* Collaborate with Product Managers and Directors to identify necessary resources and product mixes for value creation.
* Maintain close communication with customers and Professional Services to align on operational solutions, timelines, costs, and results, and escalate operational issues appropriately.
* Report regularly to the Sales Director and senior management.
* Understand the overall product packaging strategies of your targeted accounts.
* Establish sales forecasts, maintain current account records, and generate reports via our CRM system.
* Stay informed on company products, solutions, and industry trends.
What you need to have
* Experience in consultative selling of solutions combining products and enterprise software services.
* A proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Capability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and consensus-building skills.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
* Intermediate proficiency in English.
