Technical Promoter – Customer Service
As a Technical Promoter – Customer Service, you will act as a technical ambassador for Electrification and Automation, supporting customers in upgrading their installed base and uncovering new service opportunities.
This position is a short‐term–focused technical–commercial role, distinct from long‐range Business Development. It addresses immediate operational needs, such as maintenance shutdowns, revamping activities, and the deployment of pre‐allocated budgets.
You will work closely with customer maintenance and engineering teams, often directly in plants and on construction sites. For this reason, a solid technical background and strong familiarity with operational environments are essential.
Main activities will be:
Promote Siemens service portfolio in electrical protection systems, SCADA solutions, medium voltage (primary and secondary) systems;
Engage with customers, utilities, and industrial partners to understand their technical needs and propose upgrade/modernization paths;
Provide technical consulting and presentations to customers, helping them to evolve their systems with innovative service solutions;
Generate leads and opportunities for revamping, retrofitting, and service contracts, in close collaboration with Sales and Proposal teams;
Support marketing initiatives, events, and workshops with customers and stakeholders.
Travel regularly across Italy (and occasionally abroad) to strengthen customer relationships and promote Siemens technology;
Act as a liaison between customers and internal functions (Sales, Proposal, Project Execution, HQ) to ensure a consistent and professional technical approach. xivgfpx
Requirements:
Solid knowledge of service activities in electrical protection systems, SCADA, and medium voltage (primary and secondary);
Background in Electrical/Energy/Automation Engineering or equivalent experience;
Experience in technical promotion, sales support, or customer-facing engineering roles;
Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders;
Passion for innovation and the ability to translate technology into business opportunities;
Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales/marketing tools, with an orientation to data-driven customer management;
Propensity towards digitalization, including knowledge of trends and solutions in IoT, cybersecurity, and smart service applications;
Willingness to travel frequently and work directly with customers on site;
Proficiency in English and Italian;
