Job Purpose
Generate competitive technical-commercial proposals based on customer requirements, considering the applicable needs and specifications for each request. This role involves close communication and coordination with OSEs (Outside Sales Engineers), product engineering teams, and the hydraulic design team. It includes generating and validating preliminary calculations and parameters for conceptual engineering. The position interacts and negotiates with suppliers of key components of the pumping system (motors, seals, VFDs, couplings, etc.). It also involves validating terms and conditions with manufacturing and/or legal teams to ensure compliance and avoid penalties, fines, or hidden defects.
Job Responsibilities
* Prepare timely and accurate customer quotations based on customer requirements, as well as proactive offerings of value-added alternates / solutions for the customer.
* Coordinate with both internal teams and external contacts such as key component sub vendors.
* Properly use quotation software tools, reference resources, & follow detailed processes.
* Work closely with sub vendors and properly qualify (both commercially and technically) sub vendor offers to ensure their offering is commercially and technically in line with the customer’s needs.
* Understand customer’s commercial requirements (terms and conditions, etc.) and ensure quotation meets commercial as well as technical needs of the customer.
* Handle multiple tasks and projects as at any time ISE will have quotation tasks in various stages of quotation life (initial quotation work, ongoing customer clarification work, order handoff to factories for project execution, etc.).
* As needed, participate in project meetings to define the technical and commercial aspects that govern a customer’s project needs.
* Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering or Industrial Distribution preferred.
* 5+ years Inside Sales/Applications Engineering experience preferred.
* 4. Strong communication skills are essential as ISE will communicate with persons located in many areas globally (verbal and written communications).
* 5. Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills are a must as the work is deadline driven and ISE will have many quotation projects in different stages of the quotation life at any given time.
* 6. In-depth working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics.
