Job Description:
AVL Italia is hiring for a role in Italy (IT) as an Application Engineer in Energy Management Systems.
Main Duties, Operational Tasks, Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers and partners to design, configure, and deploy EMS solutions using the Atene platform.
Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to commissioning and post-deployment support.
Work closely with Product Management and Development teams to address issues, provide feedback, and improve system functionality.
Develop and maintain technical documentation such as configuration guides, best practices, and training materials for AVL Atene EMS.
Conduct training sessions for customers and partners to ensure effective use of the platform.
Develop product/application specifications to assist AVL customers in monitoring energy consumption, developing energy management strategies, conducting energy audits, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing energy efficiency projects.
Qualification Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in energy management systems, HVAC, building automation, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols used in EMS and BMS.
Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and commissioning energy management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of energy regulations and sustainability practices.
Proficiency in data analysis and energy management software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous learning.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (up to 40%).
