Trillium Pumps Italy is looking for an Category Manager.
Category Manager will be the reference for managing suppliers belonging to the defined category in order to implement with them the most appropriate source strategy according to the company’s needs.
Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
* Be primary contact and escalation point with suppliers belonging to the defined category.
* Build and maintain good relationship with category suppliers.
* Manage priorities for each supplier in terms of offer collection, considering needs of all the teams.
* Negotiate contracts to ensure best conditions in terms of job relevant budget, delivery time, working capital, project and quality standards.
* Resolving vendor disputes directly or supporting other involved functions.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for buyout components to support business objectives and market growth.
* Collaborate with Commercial Operations teams to align procurement activities with sales and production plans, if possible and convenient to close “win-win agreement” with suppliers.
* Analyze procurement data and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities.
* Scouting new suppliers.
* Visit the suppliers when needed.
* Negotiate long-term and project agreements taking into consideration: cost, time, quality, service, Term & conditions.
* Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply.
* Check and review supplier performances (Vendor rating). Evaluate these data as input for supplier selection.
* Release Purchase Orders (PO) for the defined category (when needed).
* Participate in relevant intern meetings in order to keep all necessary information related to the company needs for source.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or a similar field. Little experience in sourcing or procurement is needed.
Computer Skills:
Database, Order Processing, Spreadsheet, Word Processing, SAP. Power BI is a plus.
