We are recruiting for a field-based sales professional specializing in complex, engineered solutions for sustained power, heating & cooling needs across the data centres sector to cover the south region in Italy (Roma-Bari)
Detailed description: Drive significant revenue growth through consultative selling of complex technical solutions to data centre customers. Responsible for deep technical discovery, collaborative solution development, and building multi-level stakeholder relationships over extended sales cycles (6-36 months). Manage intricate proposals and contracts while maintaining accurate long-range pipeline forecasts in this highly technical and mission-critical industry.
Responsibilities
1. Anticipate data centre infrastructure needs years ahead and position solutions within strategic expansion plans
2. Create tailored solutions balancing reliability, efficiency, and sustainability requirements for critical operations
3. Engage as trusted advisor rather than vendor, establishing genuine thought leadership with technical teams
4. Manage complex bids and contract negotiations through to successful closure for high-value projects
5. Develop compelling business cases demonstrating operational and financial benefits through sophisticated ROI analysis
6. Coordinate solutions across international locations with diverse regulatory and operational requirements
Location: Roma with requirement to intensive travel.
What we're looking for:
7. Proven track record in exceeding targets and managing complex B2B technical solution sales
8. More than 3 years experience in managing extended sales cycles (6+ months) with multiple stakeholders across decision levels
9. Success building C-suite and technical decision-maker relationships in technology environments
10. Background in data centres, critical infrastructure i.e UPS and knowledge of data centre power, cooling, and backup systems with tier classifications preferable
11. Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with clients' long-term strategic roadmaps
