P pbThermal ECLSS Architect /b – bThales /b /p pWe are looking for a senior TCS/ECLSS Architect Engineer to design, specify, and implement thermal and environmental support systems for complex spacecraft. The role involves managing passive and active thermal control systems, atmospheric control, air revitalization, temperature and humidity control, water management, fire detection and suppression, and other environmental control systems. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDefine specific thermal and environmental requirements derived from customer high-level requirements. /li liManage trade‑offs to support architectural basic choices. /li liDefine ATCS and PTCS architecture. /li liDefine ECLSS architectures (Atmosphere Control System, Air Revitalization System, Temperature Humidity Control System, Water Management System, Waste Recovery System, Fire Detection System). /li liSize and design ATCS, PTCS, and ECLSS considering manufacturability and integration constraints. /li liBuild and run simple models for thermal and fluidic analyses to support sizing and design choices. /li liPrepare procurement specifications for ATCS, PTCS, and ECLSS in collaboration with the Thermal Design Department. /li liProvide technical follow‑on of procurement up to delivery (including subcontractor management). /li liSupport development and qualification of manufacturing processes for ATCS/PTCS/ECLSS hardware. /li liAssist hardware integration and final testing. /li liSupport thermal aspects of thermal vacuum tests and prepare specifications for thermal balance tests, and support definition of hydraulic and environmental tests. /li liAssist Quality Assurance in discussion and disposition of NCRs during manufacturing, integration, and testing activities. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Thermal, Nuclear, Energetic). /li liPrevious work experience in the requested discipline and field (Space) is highly appreciated. /li liExperience managing subcontractors from both a technical and programmatic standpoint. /li liLeadership experience in managing a technical team. /li liKnowledge of thermal control and fluidic control requirements and solutions for space station manned modules, satellites, and re‑entry vehicles. /li liKnowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and techniques relevant to ATCS/PTCS/ECLSS constituents. /li liKnowledge of codes (ESATAN TMS, Thermal Desktop) for thermal analysis. /li liExcellent teamwork and multi‑disciplinary collaboration skills. /li liAvailability to work in shifts if required by the program. /li liStrong analytical, synthesis, and problem‑solving skills. /li liExcellent English language proficiency (spoken and written). /li /ul pLocation: Turin, Piedmont, Italy. /p pThales Alenia Space offers a dynamic career with opportunities for mobility and professional growth.
