Our client is one of the major general contractors in Europe, with a turnover exceeding 1 billion euros.
They are a leading player in turnkey projects, from design to construction, in the infrastructure and building sectors.
The company offers solutions spanning financial planning, land evaluation, design, and construction within the industrial, logistics, and data center sectors.
To expand their Data Center Business Unit, they are seeking a Projects Director who will report to the Technical Director. The Projects Director will oversee project delivery from pre-design to construction and ensure profitability in line with contractual agreements and company objectives.
The ideal candidate is a team leader, responsible for maintaining customer relationships and managing a team of (Senior) Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities & Activities:
* Provide technical support to business development teams during prospecting activities.
* Meet clients with the business development team to understand their needs and project specifics.
* Propose technical and cost-effective solutions tailored to client needs.
* Prepare and optimize building designs and technical solutions.
* Estimate design costs and develop preliminary schedules.
* Prepare necessary documents for feasibility studies, including bills of quantities and M&E verification.
* Define offers and coordinate finalization and briefings with relevant departments.
* Act as the main contact for clients and represent the company during project execution.
Contract:
* Participate in contract approval processes with the business development, legal, and finance teams.
* Approve all contract details as the contract's director.
* Prepare technical and administrative documents such as bonds and insurance certificates.
Construction:
* Build and lead the project team, ensuring team members possess necessary skills.
* Lead the project team, including design office, technical inspectors, subcontractors, and safety coordinators.
* Ensure project realization aligns with contractual agreements.
* Monitor work progress, manage customer relations, and adjust schedules as needed.
* Produce technical summaries of building trades' interventions.
Cost and Schedule Management:
* Conduct financial analysis to ensure profit margins meet objectives.
* Participate in contract committees with management.
* Set project cost prices and develop sales prices with the business development team.
* Sign sale-purchase agreements with relevant representatives.
Team Management:
* Coordinate with the Country Manager or Technical Director to manage the project team, including Project Assistants and (Senior) Project Managers.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in civil engineering, urbanism, or similar.
* 5 to 10 years of experience in construction, preferably on private markets (TKP or EPCM contracts).
