Req ID: 484765 Job Description The Design Engineering Domain/Metier Department Head leads the engineering team dedicated to the preliminary and detailed design for Onboard projects, including Functional Specifications, Electrical Schemes, Manuals and Procedures, Application Logic and Data, BoM, and design, with SCMT and ERTMS technologies for domestic and international projects. Responsibilities Define and implement engineering vision, strategy, and guidelines in agreement with the Project Engineering Manager (team profile and skills, growth plans, discipline evolutions in terms of technology, competitiveness, etc.). Develop and maintain Métier / Domain competencies, coaching the team and growing World Class Engineering Experts. Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines. Secure the Alstom communication process within the team, promoting Alstom values. Provide support to team project execution for deploying the Specific Application based on architecture defined by System Design, GA, and generic product. Prepare and host management reviews. Define and govern own group’s strategy with stakeholders. Develop golden rules for effective workshare by métier. Continuously motivate, encourage, evaluate, recognize, train, and develop resources in cooperation with HR. Deploy Project Engineering Adapt Design / Design Application processes, methods, and tools in the team, providing feedback for process reviews. Collect REX from execution and innovation opportunities to feed Reference Library and share outcomes at the department level. Estimate and validate activity quotations for tenders and projects. Provide the Reference Library Manager with the project engineering Onboard Design department improvement roadmap aligned with the Solution competitiveness roadmap and progress reports. Foster the collection and sharing of REX from project/program execution. Manage workload and capacity, considering subcontracting and business strategies.
