We’re hiring a Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Italy !
Based in Fidenza and reporting to the Site Manager, you will work closely with the European Technical Director to ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current legislation and Tradebe policies. You’ll provide expert Safety, Health & Environmental (SHEQ) guidance to the plant, with a strong focus on supporting Operations and Engineering.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve site Health & Safety management systems, supporting the deployment of SHEQ Corporate initiatives, tools and processes.
- Drive the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and effectiveness of SHEQ procedures across the site.
- Oversee day-to-day SHEQ activities, with particular attention to critical areas (e.g., lab and engineering ).
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors, assessors, and regulators, ensuring full compliance with local legal requirements and Tradebe standards.
- Liaise with ARPAE and Vigili del Fuoco, ensuring requirements linked to AIA and CIP are compliant, monitored, reported on time, and effectively managed.
- Deliver in-house safety and environmental training to operators.
- Support risk assessments and provide SHEQ guidance for complex and high-risk activities.
Skills & requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in an H&S; role (technician/manager), ideally within chemical, oil & gas, waste management, or industrial services.
- Solid knowledge of Solvent Management & Recycling, Environmental Management Services, Process Safety, and Occupational H&S; (legislation, standards, guidance).
- Familiarity with IPPC permits, AIA, and ICP/CIP regulations.
- Strong communication, autonomy, and the ability to translate technical/safety requirements into practical actions.
- Advanced English.
