Combine technical knowledge with strong business acumen Work across a wide territory, primarily in South Italy, with occasional international travel Execute our "Winning with the Winner" sales strategy Take over customer relationships from a retiring sales representative, nurturing and consolidating accounts while transitioning to the new PPG leadership approach Generate new leads in the assigned area for Surface Treatments, Powders, Adhesives and Sealants, and Optima solution services
This position reports to the FIT (France & Italy) Commercial Director. We're looking for a skilled professional ready to excel in a challenging market as part of our highly engaged PPG team. Strong teamwork orientation, ethical compliance, dedication, and the ability to build fair and authentic relationships are key success factors. Performance Milestones First 3 Months
Become familiar with EMEA Auto Parts Organization and Leadership (Onboarding Process) Learn Tier Market dynamics, PPG sales organization, sales processes, and IT tools Develop high-level knowledge of 3 PPG Portfolio technologies (PPO—preferred product offering), Electrodeposition, Metal Pretreatment, and Powder Application
First 6 Months
Build relationships with key business stakeholders through personal customer visits in assigned territory (Portfolio customers worth €0.5-1M annually) Understand AUC product range from technical perspective, including value propositions and sales dynamics Achieve 60-80% autonomy with weekly sales activity reporting Master IT tools, manage Forecasting, Focus, and Clientlink systems
First 12 Months
Understand our business strategy (customer needs, product portfolio, technical issue resolution) Develop technical expertise in AUC Division product range Become fully autonomous in assigned business area Successfully manage customer portfolio, achieve budget targets, and identify new prospects Establish strong, trust-based relationships with customers and cross-departmental colleagues (Technical Service, Production, Customer Service, etc.)
Key Requirements Essential Qualifications
Technical background, preferably STEM degree Proactive sales approach Travel availability (>60%) Excellent relationship-building skills Results-oriented mindset Strong problem-solving abilities 2-3 years experience in paint/chemical market or commodity business Proficiency in standard IT tools (Outlook, Office suite) English proficiency (B2 level)
