Position Summary
Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu, cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner, test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature, operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, and maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
- Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
- Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
- Check the list of daily works
- Organize the place of work in order to have a clean and efficient space
- Take care of ordinary food production according to the chef the partie
- Follow carefully the instructions given by the chef the partie
- Follow as closely as possible the application of HACPP
- Pay attention to the use of refrigerator space, using the first-in, first-out rule
- Take care of the cleanliness of workstation
Essential Requirements
- Basic knowledge of food preparation
- Basic knowledge of HACPP
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen
- Ability to assist colleagues with “Mise en Place” and service
- Great teamwork skills and attention to detail
- Positive outlook and outgoing personality
- Previous kitchen experience is a big plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs; standing, sitting or walking for extended periods; maintaining a professional appearance in a clean uniform.
