This role serves as the primary coordinator for housing operations, working across multiple third-party landlords and vendors to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality living environments for students. The Housing Operations Manager plays a critical role in risk mitigation, vendor accountability, and operational consistency, while partnering closely with Student Success and onsite leadership to support the overall student experience. This position reports to the Program Director and the Assistant Director of Student Success. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 h3Vendor Landlord Management /h3 ul liManage relationships with housing agencies, landlords, and external vendors /li liEnsure adherence to service-level expectations and contract standards /li liCoordinate issue resolution across multiple housing providers /li liEscalate unresolved maintenance or safety concerns as needed /li liMonitor vendor performance and support continuous improvement /li /ul h3Maintenance Environmental Coordination /h3 ul liServe as the primary coordinator for all housing-related maintenance /li liTrack and ensure resolution of issues (plumbing, utilities, environmental concerns, safety) /li liMaintain a centralized system for tracking maintenance requests and outcomes /li liEnsure timely vendor response and student follow-up on all reported issues /li /ul h3Health, Safety Risk Oversight /h3 ul liConduct regular housing walkthroughs and safety checks /li liMonitor environmental risks and identify recurring issues or patterns /li liMaintain detailed housing incident logs and documentation /li liPartner with Student Success and Health Safety teams on escalations and response /li liSupport proactive risk mitigation strategies across housing inventory /li liAssist in responding to urgent or after-hours student needs, on emergency phone rotation with other team members /li /ul h3Check-In / Check-Out Operations /h3 ul liOversee housing readiness prior to student arrival /li liPartner with Student Success to plan and execute housing check-in and check-out processes /li liEnsure completion of condition reports and inspections /li liCoordinate room assignments, transitions, and relocations if applicable /li liManage damage reporting, documentation, and resolution /li /ul h3Cross-Functional Coordination /h3 ul liPartner closely with the Program Director on housing strategy and risk management /li liCollaborate with Student Success on student-facing housing concerns /li liReinforce housing policies and expectations with students /li liLead housing-related Disciplinary Meetings with students and subsequent sanctioning if applicable /li liSupport the Office of the Dean of Students and Health Safety teams on housing-related communications, including parent communication when needed /li liContribute to a coordinated and student-centered residential experience /li liMaintain accurate case documentation and communication in Salesforce /li /ul h3Off-Season Operations (Non-Student Periods) /h3 ul liConduct housing inspections with regard to suitability and vendor audits, with follow-ups as required /li liReview contracts and support improvements in vendor performance /li liPlan housing allocations and capacity for upcoming semesters /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li3–5+ years of experience in student-housing operations, property management, or student services /li liExperience managing vendors or third-party partners /li liExperience working in international or higher education environments preferred /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities /h3 ul liWorking proficiency in both English and Italian languages /li liStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities /li liAbility to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and external partners /li liStrong problem-solving and crisis management skills /li liAttention to detail in tracking, documentation, and follow-through /li liAbility to identify risks and implement proactive solutions /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills /li liAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment /li liCommitment to student safety, wellbeing, and high-quality service delivery /li /ul h3Right to Work /h3 pThe candidate must have appropriate citizenship or work authorization (student visa not allowed) in place before the contract starts.
