Validate customer requirements against available and planned infrastructure regarding to power, cooling, space, and connectivity as well as pricing, capacity and delivery timelines. Prepare solution designs (rack layouts, power configurations, cooling approaches, space utilisation models). Ensure accurate documentation of assumptions, risks, and constraints during handover to delivery and operations.
Produce technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD. Establish documentation and handover material. Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and lead technical discovery with customers. Produce technical content for bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring clarity, competitiveness, and feasibility.
Support commercial positioning through technical differentiation, resilience, and lifecycle value. Identify technical risks and contribute to mitigation strategies during the sales cycle. Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, joining customer meetings, workshops, and site visits.
Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams (operations, engineering, network, project delivery). Support senior commercial leaders in strategic customer engagements and negotiations. Provide technical inputs to pricing models, CAPEX/OPEX assumptions, and margin analysis.
Support capacity planning for power, cooling, white space, and connectivity based on pipeline forecasts. Identify operational and delivery resource needs for planned customer deployments. Governance, Compliance & Risk Ensure all proposed solutions comply with internal design standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Identify technical risks and constraints early on and support regular contract reviews by highlighting technical constraints, dependencies, and operational obligations.

Insight & Continuous Improvement Monitor colocation market trends including power density evolution, sustainability expectations, and customer deployment models. Capture customer and market feedback to inform future product development and standard solution offerings. Contribute to continuous improvement of pre-sales tools, documentation, and standard design templates.
Support innovation initiatives related to energy efficiency, modularity, and scalable colocation solutions. Work closely with internal teams including Operations, Finance, Corporate and Business Development, Customer Experience, Design & Construction, and others to ensure seamless customer engagement and service delivery. Support coordination of post-sales handovers and contract fulfillment.
Sustainability: Prioritize long-term efficiency, safety, and responsible operations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field; Minimum 5-8 years of experience in technical pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions engineering in (colocation) datacenters, telecom, cloud or digital infrastructure. Ability to design and use AutoCAD Ability to interpret customer requirements across electrical, mechanical and infrastructure domains.
Experience supporting enterprise, cloud, or systems integrator customers and complex sales cycles. Knowledge of compliance frameworks, uptime/resilience concepts, and SLA-driven operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian, additional languages like Spanish or French are an advantage.
