Whether you’re helping managing spacecraft operations, analysing mission data, or supporting software and systems development, your expertise will help move Europe’s space ambitions forward. /ppstrongWhy Join Serco? /strong /ppWork in an international and diverse team environment, surrounded by top-tier scientists, engineers, and technical experts. /ppAccess continuous professional development and training opportunities tailored to the space sector. /ppBe part of a company that values work-life balance, mutual respect, and a commitment to excellence. /ppGain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, innovative projects, and mission-critical systems in collaboration with major space agencies. /ppstrongWe look forward to meeting you! /strong /ph3Main Responsibilities /h3pAs Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and sales initiatives within the Space sector. /ppstrongYou will be responsible for: /strong /pulliBusiness Development Sales StrategyulliExecute the commercial strategy and sales plan in alignment with the European Business Development Director /liliDevelop and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities to meet growth targets in order bookings and margins /liliLead end-to-end business development activities across the bid lifecycle, including win theme development, pursuit strategy, pricing, teaming, and solution development /li /ul /li /ulpstrongCustomer Engagement Capture Management: /strong /pulliBuild and maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders and customers to position Serco at the forefront of upcoming opportunities /liliUnderstand customer needs and align them with Serco’s capabilities, identifying gaps and implementing tailored capture strategies /liliPromote Serco’s value proposition and capabilities through proactive engagement and representation /liliCoordinate with internal teams including bidding, legal, finance, and operations to ensure successful deal execution in compliance with corporate governance /liliCollaborate with Business Development Directors to support capture management and competitive pricing strategies /liliAnalyse unsuccessful bids and integrate lessons learned into future proposition development /li /ulpstrongMarket Representation Networking: /strong /pulliRepresent Serco in relevant professional associations and industry events /liliCoordinate Serco’s presence at sales events and fairs in collaboration with the European marketing team /liliDevelop and maintain a network of senior relationships within the customer and industry community to identify and pursue new opportunities /li /ulh3Successful Candidate /h3ulliOpen minded and able to interact with confidence with all stakeholders /liliMotivated by challenge and looking for business success /liliEnjoys teamworking and is used to cooperate with bidding, legal, finance and operational teams in an international environment /liliStrong communication and collaboration skills /liliExercises good judgement with decision-making skills /liliGood analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly, cut through to determine resolution, communicate key messages simply and effectively to the business /liliDemonstrated understanding in building opportunities. /liliMinimum of 2 years of experience in same role /li /ulpstrongPreferred but not required: /strong /pulliGood knowledge about Space sector with focus on Earth Observation, Downstream applications, RD projects /liliUnderstanding of EO applications and data processing algorithms /liliExperience in Earth Observation projects in the downstream domain /li /ulh3About the Company /h3pSerco is a leading provider of public services.
