Macgregor Black are partnering with a Global Market Leading DIY brand, on the search for a Key Account Manager - DIY. This is a permanent position which is remote. 
As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for driving commercial performance within the Sales function. You will be a critical thinker who is dynamic and positive; 
your ideas and initiatives will contribute to the success of the team and the company. Excellent organisational, analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills are critical to the role. A previous experience within the homewares and furnishing products across key national retailers is required. 
Key Responsibilities: 
- Own and develop relationships with top Italian national retailers 
- Manage and grow key distributors 
- Negotiate annual terms, joint business plans, pricing, and promotions 
- Identify and unlock new business opportunities aligned with brand strategy 
- Deliver annual sales and profitability targets 
- Monitor category and competitor performance; 
propose data-driven actions 
- Lead product listings, assortment reviews, and merchandising negotiations 
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver account plans 
- Ensure compliance with retailer requirements (data, sustainability, packaging, pricing) 
- Manage account administration including promotional calendars, reporting, and forecasting 
- Act as the Italian commercial contact point for the Cluster team 
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reporting, and insights 
- Work closely with product and marketing teams to ensure local relevance 
- Share best practices across the business 
What We're Looking For: 
- 5–8 years’ national account management experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or DIY/garden categories 
- Proven track record managing strategic retail accounts and delivering growth 
- Strong understanding of the Italian retail & distribution landscape 
- Strong financial acumen and Excel proficiency 
- English essential and Spanish is desired 
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills 
- Strong analytical ability (turning data into actionable strategies) 
- High organisation and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment 
- Ability to balance strategic focus with operational detail 
- Comfortable working in an international matrix organisation 
- Resilient, proactive, and hands-on 
- Comfortable working autonomously with a manager based abroad 
- Strong communicator, able to build trust with retailers and distributors 
- Team player who collaborates well across functions and geographies 
- Growth mindset: able to spot and seize new opportunities
