Job Description: Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight) Location : Italy (Flexible in terms of location) Our client is an independent international freight forwarder who are growing in Italy, with strong ties to a global leader in the logistics industry, being part of a larger, well-established group. While they maintain their autonomy, they leverage the resources, support, and scale of their parent company to drive growth and success in their sector." This client is seeking a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. As part of an exciting phase of growth, this company is looking for a hands-on senior commercial manager who can work autonomously and drive the development of new verticals. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play a key role in the expansion of a thriving logistics business. Key Responsibilities: Sales Approach : Drive the development and growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies, ensuring consistent business expansion in new and existing markets. Business Development : Establish and grow new verticals, contributing to the company's ambition to expand its footprint in Italy. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialised sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, luxury goods, etc. Team Leadership : Act as a senior figure in the office, supporting a small but growing team while fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales culture. Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities, across Italy, with high degree of flexibility with regards to regions of focus. Collaboration with a global leader : Leverage your knowledge and support of a global leader to drive new business and support the company's position in Italy and internationally. Qualifications: Experience : Strong background in ocean freight, a background in air freight is a plus, and any experience in road transport is also beneficial. Specialisation: Experience or specialisation in certain verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods would be advantageous. Geographic Knowledge : Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa or Rome, with the ability to grow business in local territories.
