This position is centered around the management of the Hoods product category for the Franke Home Solutions Division on a global scale.
The Global Category Manager Hoods will join the Global Category Management organization and report directly to the Head of Global Category Management Hoods. In this role, the Global Category Manager will manage the category with a high level of autonomy, while operating under the guidance of the Category Head, who reports to the Vice President of Category Management and R&D.
The role involves close collaboration with the cluster category management teams across EMEA and at the global level.
This role will be based in Fabriano (AN) - Italy.
Your tasks
1. Develop and execute the Category Strategy / Roadmap which captures all market and product needs coming from cluster organization & market insights for the Hoods ;
2. Manage product portfolio (i.e. introduction, product lifecycle & margin management), including marketing story development, training support and price recommendations;
3. Investigate new business / product family opportunities, building and implementing a full business development strategy ;
4. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.
Requirements
5. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
6. 3+ years of strong product management experience in multinational companies
7. Work experience in the consumer goods industry is considered a plus;
8. Very strong project management skills;
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills;
10. Problem solving, can-do attitude, analytical skills and focus on innovation and change;
11. Attitude to work in team integrating and coordinating the activities of other resources;
12. Strong drive for results, attention to costs and ability to work under strict deadlines;
13. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment;
14. Fluent English and Italian (spoken & written). Other languages are a plus, especially German;
15. Proficient in all MS Office Applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
16. Willing to travel internationally >= 20%.
