About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Folding Carton (Folding Box Board / FBB) and Food Packaging Board commercial activities across Italy. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial leader with strong industry knowledge, a proactive sales approach, and a solid network within the printing, converting, and packaging merchant sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for Folding Box Board (FBB) and food packaging grades within Italy.
- Drive revenue growth across key accounts and strategic customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with printers, carton converters, and merchants/distributors.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in adjacent segments (e.G., FMCG, food service packaging).
- Lead pricing, volume, and service-level negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor developments.
- Collaborate with regional and global APP teams to ensure best-in-class customer support.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reporting to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-6 years of sales experience in paperboard, folding carton, packaging board, or related packaging materials.
- Established network of customers in Italy, especially within converting, printing, and food packaging.
- Strong understanding of EU food-contact packaging regulations.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and account management skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to travel regularly across Italy.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
