Job Description
If you are a Field Sales Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape Emerson’s sales strategy within the Italian market. Based in Cinisello Balsamo / Milano (Lombardia), you will take on a senior, strategic leadership role focused on guiding and developing high-performing sales teams, driving sustainable growth, and expanding our presence across key automation industries. You will play a critical role in steering commercial direction, optimizing channels, and building strong partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead and execute the regional sales strategy, aligning commercial objectives with Emerson’s long-term growth plans
  • Guide, coach, and develop a diverse sales team, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Drive growth across key industries including automotive, food and beverage (with emphasis on food processing such as cutting and packaging), aerospace, electronics, medical, and welding-related applications
  • Analyze and optimize sales channels, identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and enhance go-to-market strategies
  • Develop and implement account plans using segmentation, customer insights, and market intelligence to increase sales effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including application engineering, field service, operations, and marketing to deliver integrated customer solutions
  • Own regional financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning
  • Build strong customer relationships, representing Emerson at industry events, trade fairs, and client meetings
  • Travel approximately 30–40% initially to support business development and team alignment, transitioning to around 25% as the organization matures

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Engineering background or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading sales teams and driving strategic commercial initiatives
  • Strong ability to engage with stakeholders across different levels and functions
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey both technical and business concepts clearly
  • Fluency in English and Italian language (spoken and written)
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to support customers, team development, and business growth
  • Experience in industrial or automation-related environments
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Experience in automation systems, production lines, or industrial solutions
  • Industry exposure to automotive, food and beverage processing (cutting and packaging), aerospace, electronics, medical, energy storage systems (ESS), EV and Batteries, or welding applications
  • Proven track record of optimizing sales channels and building scalable go-to-market models
  • Experience managing change and developing organizations during growth phases
